Syphilis Rapid STI Test Kit
Syphilis Rapid STI Test Kit
Detect syphilis in just 15 minutes — with the same accuracy as a professional clinic. Clinically validated technology, no prescription required.
What is syphilis?
Syphilis is a bacterial sexually transmitted infection (STI) caused by Treponema pallidum. It spreads through unprotected vaginal, anal, or oral sex — and from an infected mother to her baby during pregnancy. In the UK, syphilis cases have risen sharply in recent years, making routine testing increasingly important for sexually active adults.
The infection progresses through stages — primary, secondary, latent, and tertiary — and is highly treatable with antibiotics when caught early. The problem is that many people have no noticeable symptoms, making regular testing the only reliable way to know your status.
Did you know? Syphilis can remain dormant for years with no symptoms. The only way to be sure you don't have it is to test — especially after a new partner or unprotected sex.

Who should use this test?
Regular STI screening is recommended for anyone who is sexually active. This rapid test kit is particularly suited to:
How to use this test — step by step
Wash and dry your hands
Clean hands help avoid contamination. Warm them up first — this encourages blood flow to your fingertip.
Use the lancet for a finger-prick
Press the lancet firmly to the side of your fingertip and click. A small drop of blood will appear.
Apply blood to the test cassette
Squeeze a small drop of blood onto the marked area of the test cassette using the dropper or directly from your finger.
Add the buffer solution
Apply the provided buffer drops as directed in the instructions — this activates the test.
Wait 15 minutes and read your result
Two lines = positive. One line = negative. Read within the time window — results after 20 minutes may not be accurate.
What's in the box?
Understanding your result
Negative result: One line appears in the control region. This indicates that syphilis antibodies were not detected. If you tested within 6 weeks of possible exposure, consider retesting — there is a window period before antibodies develop.
Positive result: Two lines appear — one in the control region, one in the test region. A positive result means syphilis antibodies have been detected. This does not always confirm an active infection (you may have been treated previously), but you should contact your GP or local sexual health clinic promptly for a confirmatory blood test and advice.
Invalid result: If no line appears in the control region, the test has not worked correctly. Please repeat with a new kit.
Important: A positive result from this test is not a diagnosis. Please follow up with a healthcare professional. Syphilis is fully curable with antibiotics — early treatment prevents complications and protects your partners.
Frequently asked questions
When should I test after possible exposure?
For the most accurate result, test at least 3–6 weeks after the potential exposure, as it takes time for antibodies to develop. If you test earlier and get a negative result, retest after 6 weeks to be sure.
Is this the same as a clinic test?
This test uses the same immunoassay technology as many clinical settings. However, a GP or clinic may use a more comprehensive blood test for full confirmation.
Will syphilis show up if I've been treated before?
Possibly — syphilis antibodies can persist in your blood for years even after successful treatment. If you've had syphilis previously, discuss any positive result with your doctor for context.
Is this test suitable during pregnancy?
Yes. Syphilis screening in pregnancy is strongly recommended, as the infection can be passed to the baby. If you test positive, seek medical advice immediately — treatment during pregnancy is safe and effective.
