LIFESEV is a non-powered suction airway clearance device for a choking emergency where back blows and abdominal thrusts have failed to clear the obstruction. No power, no batteries, three mask sizes, ready in seconds.
A backup for when the protocol fails
Every trained first aider knows the sequence, and in most cases it works. LIFESEV exists for the cases where it doesn't — where back blows and abdominal thrusts have been carried out and the airway is still blocked.
The device forms a seal over the mouth and nose and applies a single controlled suction action to help draw out food or a foreign object. A one-way valve prevents air being pushed back down the airway. It is designed to be operated without medical training, and is suitable for children aged 12 months and over, and adults.

How does the suction work? The mask forms an airtight seal over the mouth and nose. Pressing the plunger expels air, and pulling it back generates negative pressure above the obstruction, helping to draw it up and out. The physical ratios of the chamber and valve are designed to produce enough suction to shift a blockage without damaging airway tissue.
